My workshops are designed so that you can fully be present and leave feeling grateful you gifted yourself the time. We begin with acquainting ourselves with the tools we will use, then begin guided through the first few strokes and full tuition present throughout the class.
I’ve been teaching workshops since 2017 and in that time I’ve come to realise everyone moves at their own pace so I find an approach that supports moving forward in your own time is most successful.
I love seeing what you create, helping you perfect that stroke and watching your delight when you’ve written your name and it’s the most beautiful way you’ve ever done it.
Calligraphy and lettering really is ‘unlearning’ writing. Just because you feel you have abysmal handwriting it doesn’t mean you won’t be successful in this craft. And I can’t wait to prove that to you!
Types of workshops

Join a group of equally curious and likeminded humans and jump into an organised workshop. On the Isle of Man I love to hold these at The Flower Studio in Port Erin - the space is second to none for beauty and the smell of those flowers!
In Manchester you’re likely to be invited to a small group kitchen-table style workshop; intimate and relaxed.
What’s present at all workshops:
All materials required to undertake the workshop
An excellent coffee, tea or other beverage
Always great company - my workshops attract simply lovely people who come along with no expectations of themselves and leave with the beginnings of a new obsession
Homemade cookies or pastries depending on whether its a brunch-time workshop or afternoon treats
Access to me after the workshop for troubleshooting, ‘where do I buy this’ advice and general encouragement

With private workshops, I can come to you or we can arrange a time for you to come to me. I can arrive with everything I need and set up at your table ready for you to learn in the comfort of your own home.
These workshops are lovely and definitely a luxury experience.

One of my favourite things to do is to come into your workspace and zone you out of the stress of work for an hour or two. Art therapy and particularly a medium such as calligraphy that requires conscious thought on strokes and positioning has been proven to provide benefits to both body and mind. You breathe deeper, think less and are truly present in the moment.
Whether you would like a calligraphy workshop, watercolour lettering or something a little bit different - I’m here for it. Get in touch and we will bring it to fruition.
I will work with you to develop a format that works for you and the session can be personalised to your company, or more general if that’s what you’d prefer. The sessions are fun, lighthearted and as challenging as the individual wants to make it. They bring humans together and relieve stress and anxiety, making my corporate modern calligraphy classes a brilliant mindful team building activity.
You can choose from a workshop when everyone ‘has a go’, or there is an option to purchase everyone a kit too - hopefully they use it as an outlet for any tension they are holding onto!
As well as pointed pen calligraphy, I can provide watercolour brush lettering, calligraphy on agate slices and various other art workshops - if you have an idea, let’s chat about it! We can even set up stations and try different disciplines as a longer workshop option.
I am proud to be a one woman band - when you book me to host your workshops, you get ME - not a randomly assigned calligrapher from a nationwide team. I am a small but thriving business and serving your business is one of my favourite things to do.
